ABOUT FINN SAUNA
Why We Do This
Having the privilege of being born and raised in sauna culture, we want to share it with the world.
It's not just a room in your house.
It's not just therapy.
It's a THIRD PLACE -- an oasis.
A quiet refuge from the busy world.
No phones.
No alarms.
Just peace, relaxation, and real connection with family and friends.
It's not a product -- it's a lifestyle.
MEET THE TEAM

Bruce Ruotsala
Owner / Operations
Bruce has been running the sauna business as a passion project since 2016. A true sauna enthusiast, he’s personally experienced more than 120 saunas across 11 U.S. states and 10 countries. With deep family roots in sauna culture — 50% Finnish and
25% Swedish — Bruce enjoys sharing his knowledge, learning from others, and most of all, relaxing in good company.
These days, Bruce focuses more on marketing, product development, research, and administration, while still consulting on select projects and working with returning customers.

Ryan Bertram
Sales & Project Management
Ryan is your point of contact for turning your sauna dreams into reality. With about 75% Finnish ancestry, and having grown up in the Finnish community of New Ipswich, NH, he experienced traditional saunas as an everyday way of life. His strength lies in clear, proactive communication—ensuring every project runs smoothly and without surprises.
Whether coordinating with builders on large custom installations or helping homeowners create the perfect private sauna, Ryan is ready to guide you through every step of the process.

Micah Kargela
Lead Sauna Craftsman
Micah is a master craftsman with a patient spirit and a quiet dedication to excellence. With broad experience across nearly all residential construction trades—and a particular focus on carpentry—he brings hands-on expertise to every project. As the lead point of
contact for construction-related inquiries, Micah ensures each build is coordinated smoothly and without delays.
In the office, he’s often consulted for his practical insight on how ambitious designs can be translated into achievable, high-quality construction results.

Gary Ruotsala
Sales & Project Management
Gary joined Finn Sauna in 2026 to help us serve even more clients and bring their sauna projects to life. As the owner's brother, he shares the same deep Finnish heritage and lifelong appreciation for authentic sauna culture.
Before joining Finn Sauna, Gary spent several years in project management - first with a construction contractor and later with a disaster cleanup and reconstruction company. That background gives him the experience to coordinate complex projects, manage teams effectively, and solve challenges quickly when they arise.
Whether he's helping homeowners plan their ideal sauna or coordinating with contractors on larger custom installations, Gary is committed to keeping every project organized, on schedule, and moving smoothly from start to finish.

Why Finn Sauna Is the Right Fit
There are many companies that can sell you a sauna. What sets Finn Sauna apart is the experience we have gained, the relationships we have built, and the way we approach each project.
01
Finnish Heritage
We grew up with sauna as a regular part of life, and it is something we still genuinely enjoy. That experience helps us recognize the details that separate a good sauna from a great one.
02
Project Coordination
We coordinate with builders, electricians, architects, and other trades on the details that affect the finished sauna. Our goal is simple: eliminate surprises.
03
Tested Products
Whenever possible, we test new materials, heaters, controls, and accessories in our own saunas before recommending them. If we would not install it in our own sauna, we are not going to recommend it for yours.
